I really liked your hard core swamp video,s but , I,d be too afraid to go that deep into the swamp by myself , for fear of being high centered on a submerged log , or maybe some under water cypress knee . Or maybe even some mechanical problem that happens when I,m deep into the swamp , and I,m too far from any one I know , that has an amphib who can help me ? Maybe I,m a little too cautious , but these are the things I think about , when I,ve stopped myself from taking my Max into places like these . From what Dan tells me ,, you live not too far from him ? This new place that you,ve recently explored , with your Argo Frontier , will be even more fun when Dan can go with you , in his Max IV .

It might be a good idea to carry a small hatchet with you the next time you go . This way you will be able to remove limbs and small tree,s that block your path ? This is the reason I always carry a 2 1/2 ft prunning clipper , and a small hatchet with me , each time I go . The prunning clipper came in very handy one time , when a vine that was attached to a tree , wrapped itself around my rear axle , as I came out of the water .

I would imagine the tires Dan has on his Max IV , would eat that stuff up .

Your vids are missing Escargo tracks, what a difference THEY would make in those swamps!!

That last video you posted was great ! I always carry the red , soft plastic tape , that the hunters use to mark the trails I make , so the next time I go out ,,,I can find them , and continue adding to my existing trail . Driving on a trail with a fixed destination , is more fun to me . The place where I ride is low , river bottom land , that floods with water when it rains a lot . As the water level rises ,,parts of the trail beside the waters edge , are not visible . So some times my Max IV is swimming,, and other times I,m driving on soft dirt through the woods , or a very muddy trail .

Mud and the harmless swamp creek

These videos demonstrate how a harmless little swamp creek can turn into a monster! If you hit a log or root systems under the water the wheels start to churn mud and disapate the water. Next thing you know in in mud over your tires. Not just any mud but soupy mud. This is the very thing that happens on the suicide run at Morango. Heath these videos are awsome but you have sure picked some impossible places for a guy who is so new to amphibious vehicles. Any one with a quad who thinks he can go into that area or would even like to try ought to take second look. Sorry I couldn't be with you, perhaps next time!

              Impossible

Heath-those are the roughest areas I have seen anyone post on the web. That stuff makes the other videos I've seen look like childs play. Hope next time we go in there I can be with you in my Max

yea dan next time i am going to bring my grizzly 660 with me and test it out. argo vs yamaha grizzly 660. and i am gonna try to get it all on video. whats the word on your max iv? how longs it gonna be down?

artist1018 i don't think tracks would work good in the areas i go i think the knees and stumps would tear them up.

mudbug 3 i have a machete i bring with me on my 4 wheeler need to put one in the argo now. i am looking for some kind of storage device i can put on the argo. like a box or bag to put stuff in.
