Wow, my list is so close to RD's I would swear he was taking inventory of my rubbermaid box. must be a Great White North thing ( and the fact that a guy can easily be over 15 miles away from anything) The only thing i might have missed on the list was JB weld and silicone. Used silicone to stop a bead seal leak on a tire, and JB weld to hold in a stripped screw on a govenor arm. Also JB weld held a 9.9hp Honda tiller arm together for one trip, and silicone kept a banged up boat a float for the same week! RD, you should see if you can get your hands on a couple of those yellow jacket repair sticks, the green ones you melt to apply, they work awesome for body repairs on Argos, quads, and tub trailers.

I have a simple list. I usually just throw all my spare parts and tools in the back of the vehicle I trailer to the ride. Then when I get there, I don't go anywhere without some snacks, beverages, and at least 2 other machines. I have occasionally gone with just 1 other machine, but that usually doesn't end up very well.l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

I carry lots of hand tools in the back rack tool box, master links, a length of chain cut to fit, tow straps (150ft), tree sling, grappling hook, army shovel and an extra bottle of water.
And something I added before the Busco ride last week, a can of ether and matches in a ziploc bag.
It is actually "starting fluid" from the Dollar Tree.
Guess what, I popped a bead Friday in a BIG rut that I slid into.
I cleaned the mud off the rim and tire as well as I could, Mike (Toys4ME) sprayed the starting fluid inside the tire, he threw a lit piece of dry paper towel out of my tool box into the tire bead and POOF, out pops the bead and with a little borrowed air from a 12v air compressor, I was back running in 10 minutes.
.
Later Mike and I were out on the south end of the park by ourselves and Mike broke a chain on the Attex.
Twisted a link right off and not at a master link, out came the hammer and two punches, one big bruiser to start the rivet and one to finess it through the link.
A set of long nose vise grips to hold the chain together, a new master link and we are back running in the mud.
That chain is still running on the Attex.
.
If you don't take it, you can't use it.The trouble with retirement is.... I never get a day off !!!!

wow...very good read and lots of great stuff. Things I never though of too.
Now I've gotta get a couple racks built up and chain saw mount fabbed up then I can start packing minimum stuff.
First thing I added. FIRST AID kit, then a small glove box with few essential tools however the more I think about it the more I'm going to go a bit more extensive. I'll add some pre-cut chains for the 3 positions as there are different lengths for each.
I'll rig out my ride for my terrain so I suppose a snake bit kit for summer would be good to add too LOL
Anyway, once the racks are done, then I can add it all in.
What do you guys use for fuel cans? I've seen some that have some kind of twist lock and custom bracket on ATV's and thought of those but only see them on rigs as they go by no idea what they are.
oddly I even have some collapsable oars on board LOL
Nuff for now.MUSCATEER 6x6
