Not as bad as you might think, it could easily be fitted with a folding ramp, which, come to think of it, would make it easier to get into than most aatvs. That can get to be a pain after a few dozen dismounts. (trapping) Surely you could find a youngster to ride along to do the hop around stuff - possibly just to get to ride on it.

Sorry Mike I have no idea why my above post doubled.

Bombardier J5, cheap, easy to work on, will need a sleigh or trailer but plenty capable for what you are looking for and they're are so many around that you can find part pretty easy. I have a muskeg the big brother to the J5 but the wheels are tracks, width and weight make if a mack truck version while the J5 is a pickup truck.

        allison here:

What you need is a J-5 bombardier. I had one used it for skidding trees. Much cheaper to own and repair.

The j5 looks like a fun ride. Wouldn't there still be an issue with getting in and out of it though? I don't know of any aatv that one wouldn't have to climb into/out of, but all of these suggestions are good fits for what he is needing.

This looks like a good possibility. Does anyone know where I can find specs? Especially interested in load and/or towing capacity.

I have a bombardier muskeg, the big brother to the J5 and have pulled 10k pounds of hard pulling without issue. Lots of info on J5s on the web. The only issue is parts. If you can find a Muskeg get one you'll pay about 4 times as much and the 16 tires can be an issue but they are more stable and can pull big loads with more traction.
