  • speed and stability

came across some threads about steering not being as reliable at higher speeds

i realize that the hot rodded aatvs will be unstable at 50mph+ but will i lose a lot of stability/steering on a stock max at the top end which i believe is about 27-28mph
just wondering how safe it is to cruise down a dirt road at 27mph in my max

    thanks

It all depends on how comfortable you are with the 6 wheeler. A dirt road should be no problem. You just don't want to jerk all the way back on one stick. Small movements will keep you tracking straight.

There really isn't anything unstable about (max) 6 wheelers at top speed on flat ground. The thing that kills the stability is when you start to bounce off the ground. If you will watch some of the videos of the Attex guys on here with their high speed runs, you can see that they spend about as much time in the air as they do on the ground.

As long as you are comfortable with your Max, you will be fine. Just don't go faster than you are comfortable with. If you do, be sure to take some video

My Attex feels fine up to about 35. Above that, the ease of control begins to deteriorate with each mph. I think you'll feel fine at your anticipated top speeds.

ok , i definitely do plan to practice and see how it feels, i havent driven it anywhere that i can get going top speed for any length of time, it has spent more time getting modified than driven right now but shoudl have it back soon and will see how it does

        thanks for the input
