Well mess around see what ya get,the wife and I were enjoying a great day yesterday out for a toot and boom thru the ice we go plow and all, hour later and some hassle on our way again, carrying snatch straps and a come a long and a good stretch of chain for this foolishness a must,we also had a sledge hammer to bust the ice to keep the plow free until my significant other lost grip on it,she was a huge help and kept the mood upbeat as well as providing the necessary beverages LOL,anyhoo it ended well but we were beat, photos on my gallery.NCT

WOW, looks like you got lucky. Glad nobody got hurt.....and no serious loss of property.
Ya know......if you just had a second Avenger, it would have been sooooo much easier to pull it out. LOL

              Nice recovery

Looks like the ice is getting soft around the edges.
Have you tried floating the argo with the plow on it?
              Probably not a good idea
              Glad it all worked out.

Well actually B Guy yes that would have been yesterday, she went right in that was ten feet plus deep,it was sketchy the vent dipped below a couple times the bilge pump did its job till I could set up to extract, should not have had the plow on thats for sure but we have dropped machines in more than enough, when you have a lake access cottage you tend to push the season on both ends, but then again back then my father was alive and we always traveled with two fully equipped machines so not such a big hassle that would have been a fifteen minute job and one pop later, now its more complicated and having the equipment with you a must,we also carry the survival necessities in case of long issue, but don't try this at home not for the faint of heart but a little forward preparation for this type of ocurance pays off in spades.NCT
