  • Removing Paint on Upper Body

Hi all, has anyone has to remove paint from the body of their AATV. I have a Max IV, I bought and at some point previous owner or owners had painted it. Most of the paint is off, I guess with time. So it is not a lot of paint, just small spots or areas here and there. Thanks.

I have the same problem on an Argo. I found cellulose thinners removes the paint and doesn't damage the body. I don't know if yours is the same material though, do what I did and tested it inside where no-one would see it. You'll know if it's not suitable by rubbing with a soaked rag, if it goes sticky lay of, it's reacting. I did it the same way then just to be sure I left a soaked rag on the plastic for a few minutes to give it time to react, it was fine.
Once the paint's off I washed over mine with truck wash to remove any residue.

Thanks, I will look for it, Cellulose Thinner. I will let you know how it works. It will be awhile, have to go on business trip.
