Yeah , I had this problem too I entered the chat room on morning and saw your name , and said hi , but you did,nt answer either . I then left the chat room and went to the home page , to see who was online . Of the people listed as being online , at that moment , your name did not appear on this list ? Is this ghosting? The last person to leave the chat room still has a " ghost image " of their name in chat ?

The last person that leaves chat will have their name there when you enter regardless of how long they have been gone. This is just the way that the sessions are handled to allow you to track who is in chat. There is nothing wrong with the chat software.

If a person is in chat they will show up to the right in the user list.

I right click on "chat" button, and "open in new window".

So it's there in the background and you can go back here to forums or anywhere else. If someone enters, you'll hear "The Jetsons" ring tone. Too young to know what that is?

Thanks for the tip Roger Now I can leave the chat room and surf the web , if no one has posted any thing new to read . If I hear the ring tone in the chat room , when some one enters , I,ll then know some one is in there to chat with .
