Your right, I was thinking of a pintle hitch. The bulldog hitch is something that I am going to look into. Oh, by the way I had another instance with a trailer. I used my neighbors after telling him the instance I had with mine. He says u helped me this year so much, Take my trailer whenever you want. He is going to Florida and says he would prefer it would be at my place when he is gone anyway. Soooo, I borrowed his trailer and on the way up to hunting camp and almost there, when I see smoke coming from the right side of the trailer. Whoa, slow down slooowlyyy (I've been here before) and come to a stop. When I finally stop, I get out on the road and look - - - the tire is shredded into almost nothing. Lucky I didn't lose this one too. Holy cow, I was out in the middle of nowhere and had to leave the machine and trailer on the side of the road then run 35 miles back to a town that had a used tire. Couldn't find one at the first 3 places. Finally found one and they charged me 60 bucks for a used tire go figure! 2 hours later went back and changed the tire (had to unload everything, machine and all) change the tire then off to camp. Once at camp I look at the other tire and it is so weather checked that I didn't dare drive it at all. Soooo, changed another tire. Whew, at some point this has got to stop. But, live and learn. When I brought the trailer back to my neighbor, he say's oh, those tires I bet are 20 years old. He apologized. I said no apology needed and thanks for letting me use the trailer. He is older and has diabetic neuropathy of his feet, can hardly walk and this year a storm blew his pontoon off of it's pontoon lift and blew the lift over. I went over and got his pontoon off of the rocks, tipped his lift back over and put it into it's spot without him having to get into the water. He was so grateful and told me if I EVER need anything, anything at all he will be there. I guess it feels good to help people out. I've always liked helping elderly people. So when you get a chance help anybody and I mean anybody. The Holiday season is coming and some people need food and some help with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming. This world needs a little more compassion and I want to help whoever I can. About 5 years ago I was foreclosed on and forced to move my family out of my house 2 days before Christmas. I then lost my grandson who died in the hospital about 6 months later, my mom died in a tragic car accident and then my Grandma died 2 weeks later. My Dad had a massive stroke a week after that, but survived barely - he can walk now but barely has no use of his left side and his brain works but not the way it is suppose to. So there are people out there who need friends and people to help them. Be there when you can. Happy Thanksgiving everybody!!
