  • Pro 8x8 or Pro 6x6 and why????

Just pondering a move to an 8x8 instead of 6x6. Or fab my unit into an 8x8.

    Pro's 8x8

More cargo, more stable, better floation

    Cons
larger turning radius, less nimble, great cost of repairs tyres chains bearings etc.

    Pro's 6x6

    Quick agile, nimble

    Con's
    less cargo less passenger tippier

    Anyone else got more?

Soon to add on a ... RHB31 Turbo..guess that would make it a
    MUSCA TUR BOTA then eh?

8x8 smoother ride do to longer wheel base.

Having said that I still enjoy my 6x6 sometimes when I want to go out by myself. For family rides I take the 8x8.
Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.

A 6x6 fits into the back of a full sized pickup truck - no hassle of hitching up a trailer.

I've already been in places an 8x8 simply will not go. I have no idea, in fact, how I made it through. An extra set of wheels would have lodged me in between some trees. And you all would have been impressed by how I did it.
