I went up to Nemadji State Forest in Minnesota today to try out my new 22" tires and Adair tracks. I figured that by now they should have a good depth of snow, and I was right.
The snow was up to my knees everywhere, although of course that didn't put me on the dirt with my feet.

Driving in the snow was fun. ATVs hadn't been on the trails in quite some time, so I had fresh, untouched powder. I have an early generation set of Adair tracks with some studs. Even with these tracks, the argo seemed to float on the snow. The only problem was if I spun the tracks too quickly, I'd immediately high center myself and be nice and stuck. I tried taking a picture of the snow that was still beneath the tracks, but you can't really see the depth. Let me assure you it was at least 6 inches.

One of the times I became stuck, I managed to sink my Argo all the way up to the top of the top around the fender before I hit dirt. I had to dig my way out of that. I should have taken a picture or a video.
This machine set up like this is a blast. I can't wait till everything thaws and I can try it in some real mud. But for now, finding deep snow like this is just as entertaining.
On my way to get stuck.jpg
I'm trying to put together some clips of my snow riding for you guys. Until then, these few pictures will have to suffice. I didn't spend much time out as I would have liked. The weather was a nice 13 degrees but the wind was wicked, so I eventually called it a day.
Sorry for the weird angle pictures. I uploaded them and the website decided to flip them and rotate them. If anyone knows how I can fix this, let me know.
