While this isn't a difficult task by any means, the how-to for replacing these have a couple of decent photos of what's involved: How to replace Max II Chain Guides

These are adjusters I came up with for a custom machine, but anyone could build a set for any machine including a Max2. For a Max 2 these could be pop riveted or bolted in. The wheel itself is a skateboard wheel which is made from UHMW material and should wear as good or better than even aftermarket adjusters. Skateboard wheels are readily available and inexpensive. This particular skateboard wheel rides on its own internal surface and has a 15/16th bolt going thru it. Skateboard wheels can also use steel bearings if you want to add a greaseable point as well. I think the bolt technique is good enough for this material.
