actually it would be alot further then the first few yards, a bear can do the full tilt boogie sprint after an animal for over a minute and is far more nimble then a horse over terrain. If a grizz wanted to run down a horse&rider he could do that fairly easily. the Brownie in the picture is a reasonable size but i wouldnt say he is big for a brownie , he still has micky mouse ears and the face isnt too broad.

Today I took the BigFoot out for a Blast,,,I entered the Pond spillway and climbed up the other side into the trail we cut in the small pine grove,,I see something move up ahead,,,it 2 Beaver's this time,,they were about 4' from the water,,in the Pine needles,,,doing fur maitenance lol,,,I stopped for a few watching them,,,
I then went forward on the trail as they entered the water,,I entered the Pond about about 100' ft or so up the trail,,I motored easy like to the area they were in,,One on each side of the Pond,, I then motored my way to an exit area,,and shut the BigFoot down,,just floating and not moving,,, They both met up,,and one followed the other,,swimming in a back and forth loop,,each loop getting closer to me by a few feet,,last loop about 20' away from me,,,the lead Beaver,,,SLAPS,,,his tail hard,,under they go,,to come up about 50 ft from me,,,was misty and rainy,,,getting damp,,I then motored across the pond exiting at the spillway,,kind of an off camber spot,,tilting excitingly to the right,,,Ahhh the BigFoot handles it with ease ! Man these Amphibs are cool !,,,,,Mark

Big Arizona Spider
Went fishing again with Reb181 this past weekend. You get to see these
tarantulas from time to time, but this was a really big one. I almost ran it over. It was crossing the road. He/She was a little camera shy.

Spiders
Nasty little crittersLife should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"
