I wanna loader too!

I'm toying with the idea of putting a loader on my AATV too. It won't be for digging, just moving mulch, loose dirt, snow, etc. not more than a few hundred pounds. Assuming I ever get to it, I'll be using the same basic design and geometry as a Bobcat skidloader with the loader hinged all the way in the back and above the body, that way there's no need for any outriggers.

Ok guys,I have been building my own atv accessries for 7 years now and this is what I've found so far: ever notice how manufacturers of these things are always moving loose dirt around?Thats because we're talking about atv's not d-8 dozers.I think the hoe with outriggers is the best of what has been displayed here because the weight/workload of operating it is carried by the outriggers.Just don't expect it to have the capabilities of a 580-c case and I think you will be very pleased with it's performance.Beware ANY product that requires its weight to be carried by the atv while operating it,this can lead to premature wear to the machine.I have a dozer blade for my Hustler and I am sure that it has aided ,if not caused two breaks of my front left axle.

This guy makes attachments for garden tractors that could probably be modified. The Johnny Bucket might work well for small loads.

not really related to this but i'm interested in mounting a lawn mower on the front of my Frontier 650.i'm new here i have seen a picture with one mounted on the frontbut can't find it again

That C-Ros loader looks pretty cool, but for the $5000 they want for it on their website I can buy a complete Power-trac loader. Still, this design gives me good ideas for my Max. I think I can fab something really close to this for about $800. Thanks for posting!

You wouldn't want to use it to build a castle; but it would build pretty impressive sandcastles in an hour!

Plenty of 400 pound rocks around here to build whatever I'd want. Practically speaking though, typical backhoes and bobcats would have to build roads as they went to get at them; otherwise they'd just get stuck. Same goes for where I want to build some small footbridges and around my place... boardwalks and stands in through the marshes. A hoe on the Argo would make it a breeze to do... collect the rocks, barge them out and dump them.

I like how it mounts and releases in 2 minutes. I'm betting these things aren't cheap; but probably cheaper to buy one with a new Argo than buying a similarly equipped Cenataur.

As for digging a foundation I wouldn't put it past the abilities of the attachments... the amount of down force one can put on a section is not only subject to weight, but also footprint size. A small enough bucket/shovel and theoretically you should be able to dig through anything. However, you may be ready for retirement before you get to live in the building your digging the foundation for :P

those hoes look cool. I think they would be good for the happy homeowner for digging up flower beds and gardens. As far as major digging, I would not go into the foundation business with it.

Hey guys, if you notice the 6x6 Argo has outriggers to take up the the majority of the load when using the bucket. The second photo of Salamanders, has a blade on the front, aka spade. This also takes very much of the load off the vehicle. When utility trucks use their booms, they always use the outriggers to take the load, because the booms through the towers are connected. Yep there has to be some counter weight, but with the use of the outriggers or the spade, this limits the amount of counterweight needed. Just my thoughts guys.

I would venture to say that any 8x8 Argo with counter weights(concrete blocks or a load of fire wood) in the back would be able to utilize either unit successfully! And a Max II or Max IV, because of their rear engine, would be a good candidate as well!!

Or you could mount it in the back or an Argo 8x8 and the engine would be your counter weight.

That pretty cool but I dont see how you could dig much. I mean the little weight of the atv or aatv would be picked up before the shovel got very deep into the dirt. Be cool but seems like it would still be slow digging.

I'd be happy with a small front loading bucket that would work with the Argo snowplow mounts and your existing winch. Thats an Argo accessory waiting to happen.
