  • Drive Belt FYI

The drive belt that I ordered during the last rebuild turned out to be a little too long. I have been on the phone with all of the suppliers listed by Dayco, and most of them (Sears, PepBoys, Advanced auto) were going to take at least 5 business days. And the belt I have now took almost 2 weeks with Advanced. So NAPA was my last call and they crossed it with a Gates part# and will have it in 2 days. Pretty cool....I did not know Gates was into the ATV belt business, just thought I would throw that out there in case anyone had belt procurement issues.

EDIT: I just looked at the Gates website, one thing I like compared to the Dayco website is that they list the effective length of the belt and outside circumference, which may take some of the guesswork out of finding the proper belt for those who have re-powered their ATV's.
