dual thrusters

saw on richards relics these dual thrusters that would improve water propulsion why are they discontinued anyone know. think these would work great,

My take on those are you are sacrificing approach and departure angles,adding excess weight and decreasing off road capability,let alone the cost.If someone thinks they need all that,then maybe time to think about a boat.
