I was really impressed that a loaded 8x8 Argo , could drive through the same long mud hole that the Max II stuggled in ? One thing I noticed though , was that the driver of the Max II did not drive it correctly some times . I never try to skid steer in a mud hole like this , because all this does is cut the power to one side , and this really increases your chance of getting stuck

I guess this is why Roger can make it look easy , when every one else that drives through the same mud hole , makes it look hard .

        rdr ,

Yes ,,you hit the nail on the head ! When I,m driving my Max IV through some REALLy thick mud , I try to let my wheels SLOWLY move me forward , as to not break traction . When you spin your wheels in the mud with out moving forward , all you are doing is digging a trench on either side of your tub , and this greatly increases your chance of being high centered . If I find out that my wheels are not moving me forward , I then start to hang off one side of my roll bar and then the other . If I stop moving forward after doing all of this ,, I then try to transfer all of my weight onto the front edge of my Max . This unweights almost the whole tub , and some times will move me forward , if by only a few inches at a time . At this point , all I want to do is keep moving forward . When all of this fails , its winching time then .

            Not Fair

Hang on, this is not a fair comparison. Let an *empty* Argo try it. All that weight helped it keep traction.

            Cool video though.

not really as they both looked like they were sitting on the bellypan. I think a 33% increase ihn traction made a difference though. .

ayone know what the bias on the argo diff is?
