  • How well do these float?

Hi, we just got a place on the Ark river and I would like to use a 6X6 to cruise down to the river and around a dam to the lake. A 6X6 would be perfect to get throught the trails, but I was wondering how well they would work on a large lake and on a moving river. Anybody got info on specific models that work better in these conditions?

Anybody close to the DFW area with a good used one for sale? Probaby mod 90's or earlier based on the prices in here. I'm pretty handy with a wrench and don't mind a bit of fixin' but I don't want a basket case.

    Thanks,

      Outboard Motor

Here are a few pics of the Avenger with the 9.9 Mariner 4-stroke. Runs very quiet. Pretty stable in water.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

I think my Argo is more stable in the water than a fishing boat of the same size. Two people can be standing up and casting fishing rods at the same time with very little movement of the Argo.
