Hey guys, I was going to buy the wireless controller by warn on eBay but i'm unsure if i'm looking at the right one. Does anyone know the part number for the wireless controller that is compatible with the 3500lbs pro vantage?

I think your best bet is to go to Warn's site and get the part number. Then go to ebay and look it up by the part number. Check out this page: https://www.warn.com/atv/winches/ProVantage_3500.jsp The manuals section on that page links to an accessory list here: https://www.warn.com/atv/assets/pdf/...ifications.pdf and on page 2, it lists the part number for the wireless remote accessory. That may be a start.

Hi Grease Monkey, I tried a wireless winch control on a Superwinched Argo a few years ago and it didn't seem reliable for me. Have you or your friends had good luck using these remotes lately?

I use a wireless on my truck and hate using machines by myself with a winch that isn't wireless now. There are two different ones, one has a small module that plugs into a 6 pin connector on the contactor - this plugs in where you would plug in a wired remote. The other model has wiring and a receiver and you have to wire it into your contactor to control the winch, this is the one you want. If you find a third model, it's just an old outdated version of the wired model, and should also work.

Thanks, Coast 2coast. That is very useful info.

Haven't got it yet, few unexpected expenses came up so thats just how it goes. Basically this is what i'm looking at. I do the majority of the winching from the cab so I can work the throttle but I often travel alone and respoiling wire by yourself is just a pain.....and i'm super anal over how the wire goes back on the drum.

Someone sent me a link and had success using this cheapo chinese version on their side by side:

I've ordered one and waiting for it to arrive and test it out. It's a hell of a lot cheaper than the Warn version . We'll put it to the test. If it quits working, meh, back to the ol' dashboard switch.
