I'm new to the group and the 6x6 activities. I purchased my Max IV a year ago and had to have shoulder surgery so never got to enjoy it.
I recently got a battery started it and it wont steer. It will move forward and backwards but wont steer. When I move it it never goes straight so I end up having to pick it up in the front or back by hand. This is killing me. I went on line and will attempt to adjust the T-20 and change fluids. When I go in reverse I have to pull the sticks back so hard its killing my shoulder. I could use some help and advise. I live in Erie, Pa and wonder if anyone works on these in the area.
I really hope to enjoy this some day. I missed out using it last deer season and was hoping to get it steering before November snow fly's.
You have a really nice site and I'm happy to be a member.

Welcome to the group akhunting. Post your questions (pics are always helpful) under the Max forum. Good luck with your rebuild.

Hello everyone. I recently bought a 1979 Max IV. Through some searching I found you guys. The machine runs but replacing all the axle bearings, chairs, idlers and freshening up the transmission. I had it out a couple times moose hunting when I discovered she need a bit of love. hope to be able to get information here and share my experiences.

Hi everyone, New to Argo and wanting to buy used. Of course I have questions. The boards pretty well cover most of the information but I definitely will still ask the question. I'll post it under a proper thread, but looking forward to gathering this wealth of knowledge here. Happy Thanksgiving !!

I have read the forum for a long time and today came home with my first 6x6. I got a 1995 Max IV from a 16 yr old in Pennsylvania. I'm in Wisconsin and ride dirt bikes, snowmobiles, and atvs. It needs an axle bearing and a few other things but seems in good shape. I'm self employed and we have a puppy... this might be fun on the ice and running around my parents farm with Reggie..

Hello everyone. I just got a 1996 Max II. Looking forward to having fun and learning all about it. I have to go through it and fix some things but tinkering is half the fun.

Recently retired living in Southern Maine. Have never owned an ATV looking to purchase an Argo Frontier.Quick question is the ‘700 that much more than the ‘600? For the price difference I could put tracks on the ‘600.

    New to me Max II

Hi, I just bought a 94 Max II with tracks. Been reading the threads and doing research. I found lots of useful information already! Never had an ATV before unless you count my Rokon. Hope to learn more, I'll add a pic as soon as I figure out how.
