  • Thanks for the info...I have noticed that Richard's prices are high...I don't really need to do anything to the yellow Scrambler as it was in excellent condition when I bought it. I do, however, need to find a reverse mechanism and mounting bracket for my 1970 Scrambler. If anyone knows where these can be found, I would greatly appreciate it!

            • Hello, names Dennis. I live in southern MI. and I have been wanting a 6x6 for a long time after seeing one while out ice fishing number of years ago. I've had 3 and 4 wheelers for years but I have a family now and would like to be able to move us around the ice together. My son is 11 and has a quad but cant ride it on state land for another year. I still would rather have him beside me for security reasons, Ive seen a snowmobile hit a shanty and it wasnt pretty. I also never realized that there where any other brands beside argo, I really like the max IV and think I may look for one of those after the holidays.

                  • Welcome Mike,
The RIM is what the max IV was originally called. The oh160 engine is brute, but can easily be replaced with a Briggs which is a little less tempermental. Good find and good luck.
l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

                      • Hello,

I stumbled on this site while researching Argo Atv’s and I’m glad I did. This place is awesome. It would cost me a lot of money, time, and mistakes to gather the information I’ve learned here so far; so I thank you all.

I’ve had a number of ATV’s in the past, mostly Honda’s – Foreman and Ranchers. But I’m on the other side of the hill now and pretty beat up. When I saw what these 6 wheelers can do I was hooked.

I got my eye on a 2001 Argo Conquest. The meter reads 20 hours. It’s got the Suzuki 20 hp water cooled engine. I was wondering if anyone here may know about this engine and that setup in general. I’ve read the Conquest was a well built and rugged machine but since I’m new to 6x6 off roading I would appreciate any other opinions.

                        Thank you,

                        Tolec

                        • Hello Tolec, welcome to the site. The Conquest is a tough machine overall. In my opinion, the biggest downside is being restricted to smaller tires than you could run on an Argo Bigfoot or Avenger. You can start a new thread in the Argo forum if you want some more input from others.

                            • Hi Chris, welcome to the site and congratulations on your recent Argo purchase. If nobody can help you on the year of your Argo, you can always contact Ontario Drive and Gear and they should be able to help you. Good luck with your rebuild.

                              • Hi everyine , I am new at AATVing, I have been on Quads for 20 yrs and never seen these things until I was looking online, after watching the videos on You Tube and doing research, I knew the Quad days are gone, I live in FL, so most of my time is playing and hunting in the wetlands, and pine forests. The best things are that I can take wife , daughter and dog riding anywhere and not really worry about getting stuck ( this is great ). Just wish I had learned about the AATV years ago.
