  • Hi stewart, let me officially welcome you to the forum even though you have been a member for a long time. Congratulations on getting some momentum going on your project. I'm bad about dragging a project out but I don't have anything on the 32 years that your Attex has been waiting to be appreciated. I hope you can get it back in working order soon and have some fun.

          • Hi Will, welcome to the site. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have. There is a wealth of information from the fine folks on this site as you probably already know. Tbone

              • Hello,

This forum looks like it might be an active enough place that I might be able to get some help with resurrecting an original COOT that was given to me. It is a yellow one with the "Made in San Francisco" tag on it. It was in a pole shed that collapsed on it when the trusses rotted out. Motor is froze up, it still had the original tires on it and it had several inches of stuff in the bottom, with a few places rusted out.

                • New to 6X6 world been following awhile now with anticipation of buying my first 6X6 which I bought tonight, a 2002 Argo Bigfoot. I live in Mckinney, Tx. and from what I see there doesn't seam to be many 6X6's around here. I've never owned a ATV of any kind before, but always wanted a 6x6 since the first 1 I seen.
The machine seams to be pretty solid over all, a few problems but I expected some things with the age. But I think I got it for a good price. Biggest problem being that the charging system is not working (which I'm hoping someone that knows can give me a little advice on, seams first of all that some wires out of the voltage reg. look bad at a fuse holder and something that it went to, looks like # 24 contact & # 25 connector housing on the parts manual and what ever # 25 goes to?
If some one knows or could give info. on where to start it would be a great help, I believe I can handle the engine fairly well, but pretty lost on this charging system.

                  • Hi all, i'm a newby to this site, it has already helped me out a lot, i just picked up a ridge runner trail boss some of you have seen on this site, i intend to restore it and use it then start looking for an amphibious vehicle, i own property in a remote area in the upper peninsula of michigan and would enjoy the toys i've seen on this site, these sites are a great wealth of info, i also restore 50's boat motors and belong to antique outboard motor site, also i own some old ford tractors that have tracks on them and belong to yesterday's tractors site. I will get pics as soon as i learn how to do it on this site, thanks to riotwarrior who has already helped me a ton with the hagen transmission

Helle Snunker, welcome to the forum. There are several old coots around here but most of them are ornery and they don't own a COOT. Sorry for the bad joke. There are several members that do have COOTs so I'm sure someone could help you if you ever need it. Good luck getting yours running again.

Hi Littleman, welcome to the forum and congratulations on picking up your Bigfoot. For your electrical question, check out the Argo Wiring Diagram. That should help.
