Hello, still waiting to get my new Huntmaster next month and pretty excited to head north this late Summer. In northern BC there are many FSR with older logging roads that are washed out. Like to see if the Argo can pass through those (washed out) culverts. I also wonder how steep it can climb or slopes it can take...will report back! Anyhow, hello to everyone out here and have fun!

My name is Dan, and I live in northern Minnesota. A long time back I had a Max 6x6 project, but never finished sorting it out. I recently purchased three 6x6s, an Argo (probably late 70s) with a freshly rebuilt Kohler 2 stroke, that needs some fiddly bits, and two Attex, one with a new predator 346cc and a blown tranny, and another Attex minus motor and tranny, and with a big hole in the front.

I'm focused on the Argo for now. I know the 11 horse predator is small for the Argo, but I'm like tinkering with 4 strokes way more than 2 strokes, so I might put it into the Argo. The really bad Attex is probably going to become an amphibious trailer. My wife wants me to convert the other Attex to electric, or gas-electric hybrid (a generator in the rear driving 1 electric motor per side). ...or I might just scrap it for parts.

My intended use is to plow my driveway, and haul small loads of firewood I cut in the forest, which up until now I have been using a hand pulled sled to bring in.

I'm glad to have found this forum, and so many like minded individuals.

Being where you are, you probably have the later Sidewinder which is basically a rebadged Hustler with slight differences and colors.

Hi i’m Kyle AKA Griff, been reading the board off and on for awhile. I just bought a max IV 6x6 with a 23 hp Vanguard got it running great but i don’t like the governor some times it flutters and is annoying. I was recently traded 2- 18 packs of beer for a Diesel ZB600C out of an older Kubota, got it running great. I really could use some help finding a bolt on shaft with key way that will fit my existing clutch. Any help is much appreciated thank you.

Just ordered a 2021 Frontier 650 8x8 from Argo Adventures in Burke, SD. Figure the 8x8 will be good for getting around the hunting areas in southern Montana. Getting older, so straddling an ATV is not as much fun as it used to be, and having the carrying capacity on the Frontier will be awesome. Cheers!

Welcome. I believe Adair Argo has covers.
