welcome to the site
as far as 6x6 or 8x8 depends on what you are doing with it. i have an 8x8 which is more stable when climbing and has more room for hualing extra gear around. the 6x6 is more nimble in tight areas like trees. also less room to carry your gear. if you figure out what you will be using it for will help your decision.

New member here with Argo Magnum 8x8
Hello,
Just wanted to introduce myself into the forum. I'm from Indiana and I've aquired an older Argo Magnum 8x8 and will be working on it in the months ahead. This will be the first one I've owned so it will be a learning experience. I'm sure I'll be hitting up some folks here with questions in the months ahead.

Articulating pug.....
I've been visiting for a while, this seems to be as close as I'm going to get for support and common interests; I've recently acquired two Pugs, articulating full time four wheel drive side-by-side utv's. here's a link to a pretty decent depiction: http://www.s44u.com/mediac/400_0/media/scan0001.jpg Mine both have hydraulic pumps for a 5'x4' dump bed and one has a 5' snow plow. Just looking for some common interests/trail rides/etc.....
Anyhow, I've done a lot of work to the first one, still trying to smoke out the gremlins in the carb (1979 16hp horizontal briggs, single cylinder)
Planning on taking at least one to the Iditarod restart in March in Willow, AK; maybe see some 6x6'ers there?

Hi Kevin, I'm sure some of the members with six wheelers would love to have you along for a ride. The pug is such a unique looking machine. I think it would be a blast to follow on the trails and watch articulate. If you get a chance upload some pictures to the gallery or better yet, post some video. You don't see too many pugs.

Lurker comes out of shadows
Hello one and all,
I've been a member of this site for some time now, but haven't posted anything until now. I didn't want to bother anybody with silly questions, and most of the information I was looking for was available just by searching the forums. That situation has changed, however.
A few years back I came into posession of a nonoperational TerraTiger of murky ancestry. Alas, as with most of my projects, it sat on a back burner, biding it's time. Well, its time.
I've been curious about 6x6s since I was a kid, but there aren't many of them around my area (southEAST CA), so getting the TerraTiger to run looks like the best way to satisfy my curiousity.
I've been tinkering with it recently when time and resources allow and I've finally reached a point where I can't find answers by searching the forums. It looks like the best place to post AATV-specific questions would be in the appropriate forum, so that's where I'll start.
Thanks for the opportunity to say 'hi'...if I have any luck with the beast I'll post the results. Who knows? I might even end up getting hooked!
Charlie

welcome aboard, and good luck with your Terra Tiger build. i sold my tiger a while back but i have manuals in pdf if you want them. send me a pm with your email and i'll send them your way. site member "farmtoybuilder" has a lot of experience with the tigers and could probably steer you pretty well on any questions that come up.A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
