  • hours on forum members amphibs ?

I don,t get to use my Max IV as much as I like , because the places I like to take it are between 75- 135 miles away . Another reason is this : Until about two years ago , I did not know any one close to me that had a 6x6 or 8x8 to ride with . For this reason I mainly rode by myself on 4-wheeler trails . Often times , I would have to use my hatchet and machete to make the trails wider , just to be able to drive through them . I would ride a little ,,and widen trails a lot . I made my trails as challenging as I could . When ever it rained all of the low spots would fill up with water . After about 3 months of doing this ,, I had some really great trails to drive my Max IV on . My amphibious riding came to an abrupt end though , when a development company bought all of the land we were riding on , and subdivided it into lots for double wide moble homes . Now , since I no longer had any place locally to ride my 6x6 , and no one close with an amphib to ride with , I thought about selling my Max IV several times . I had bought my Max IV new from Recreatives in 2003 , but , by the middle of 2007 , I,d only put 42 hours on it . I now have two amphibious friends I ride with who like to go when ever they can . I now have a total of 99 hours on my Max IV .

How many hours do you have on your amphib ?

              eightwheeler ,

yes,,I would assume that after that many hours on the meter of your Argo , it might be showing some wear

I have an 08 frontier and it has 160+ hours on it. I guess you could say its my daily driver. I try to squeeze in a ride every day and more on the weekends.

I want to push my warranty to the limit so to speak. So far so good.... knock on wood.

My machine was bought November 06. Has 64 hours, still like new, with a few scratches

About 8 hours not on the clock was water time.

2004 Conquest, I think it's at just under 600 hrs.
I just put a new set of clutches on it last week. It made a huge differnce in performance, the old clutches really need to be rebuilt. One of my next projects, when I get some parts.
