I own the only Max IV in my town. I've never seen another, nor heard of one in town. I seen one Max II though. It was a serious basket case. My uncle did some work on it one summer in the 80's, then sold it. I once seen, just maybe, another one in a backyard, but it could have been the same one. It (or both) are gone. Haven't seen them since.
A local store here once had a Max dealership and sold two Max II's to others in another village up here.
There are at least five Argos here, two six-wheelers, and three eight-wheelers. My Avenger, after selling it, was shipped to Nome by the new owner.
Interesting note... we came across a Scrambler stuck in the mud, passed it's wheels. It was rusted out badly. I was able to grab bits of engine and crumble it in my hands. Some one back in the 70's drove it there and never got it out.

I've seen several Max4s for sale locally, one is currently at a consignment lot nearby. I've seen two Max2s, one a friend had for sale, another was at the Canton, Tx trade days a few years back. There is an 8x8 at a local marina, I think they use it to service their docks when the water drops. In my addition a guy had a Terra Tiger for years before he sold it.
Maybe I'm in a unusual location due to plenty of swamps nearby. I see them running around and for sale all the time. What I don't find is what I'm looking for, a Hustler 980 tall body.

I was getting Diesel this morning here at Homestead Florida and an Argo with a spray rig and a little tower on it pulled up to the fuel pump (on a trailer of course). It had tracks and 8 wheels but not knowing Argos I have no idea of what it was. I was so excited at seeing one out and about.........I forgot to take a pic.

I saw a faded green Max II near state highway 19 on a heavy equipment company's stone parking lot this spring. It was right near the street. I don't recall seeing a 4SALE sign, whether it had round or square headlights, or a windshield or rollbar. When I went by the next day it was gone. Did someone scarf it up that quickly? I don't know. I have not seen any other AATV's in this neck of the woods although by reading other member's posts quite a few reside here in western PA.

BTW, my Max II is always garage kept. About the only way the public will see it is when plowing my driveway in winter. The yellow snow blade sticks out like a sore thumb.

Ya know, I don't mind having this rare form of ATV. It does everything I ask of it, and more. Not having a new, popular brand side x side or ATV doesn't bother me one tiny bit. I like being different.

Yup, in Barrie I can think of 2 really nice Argos, tracks and all and I know where there are a couple of other randoms that are slowly decomposing.. I plan on restoring someday depending on how my Bazoo project goes.

That says a lot considering I live in the middle of a larger city.
