Thanks John, got it. That thing looks like it will go through anything, those Russians have all the best off road stuff! And just for the record, the tracked vehicle that he helped out of the mud was a Pelec, not a Tinger, the Tingers are a little better than the Pelecs off road due to wider tracks, although I don't know that they wouldn't have gotten stuck too in that soup.

No doubt a cool machine and would be much fun, only down sides I see are
8.5' width would make registering on road or ATV use impossible in US
These are still chain driven, most of our machines are, but I worry about their long term reliability, in fact I have to be honest while the Russians build some of the coolest most capable off road machines on Earth their reliability has always left me less than impressed. Simply watch a few videos with English subtitles turned on you'll hear all about all the metal shavings clogging fuel filters, busted bushings, sheared axles, and bent drive train components, etc

There is a few videos of Sherp getting bogged down and getting stuck where tracked vehicles walk with ease (such as the linked video) Tires are cool but have limitations as does everything.

Can you believe I just seen two Sherps in town here (Prince Albert SK Canada)! There is a company that is going to demo them. Man they are sweet looking!!! Only $140000CAD for one.

only thing i could find was it's 5 speed manual tranny powered by a 44.hp. kubota diesel engine. seats 8 people. between 40 and 50 m.p.h. on land. no specs on the actual drive train system or the skid steer trans being used. j.b.
