I just purchased a 6x6 max Iv. I love the machine but hate the center drive position. I want to move the two steer handles over to the left so my wife and I can sit in the fron together comfortably. Has anyone ever tried to do this or do they make a kit. I can weld very well as I make custom cookers/ smokers etc for people. Any help or ideas would be awesome as this is my first ever 6x6 and I know nothing about them.

There's been a few people on here that have done that. I personally like the center sticks. If you're in water by yourself you may want to sit in the middle for balance. These things are heavy to the left to start with. It is awkward at first if you're not used to it but after a while you'll be able to drive from either side. Give it a chance then if you don't like it change it. Have fun with your new toy. What it lacks in ground clearance it makes up for with traction.

Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking I could just sit to one side and drive with it in the middle. She will not be with me on it a lot and I didn't even think about being balanced in the water. I won't use it very often in ponds etc I will use it when the lynches river creek floods and crossing it in the deep parts where my fourwheeler just won't go. I think I have to register it with dnr if I go in the lake with it but not sure on that one if I don't put a outboard or tm on it

Max iv 950T Controls and new mud flaps!!

The controls work awesome! They allow me to sit on the left and comfortably drive without leaning to the right now me and my dad both 6ft plus and 200 pounds to ride very comfy in the front but still allowing me to sit in the middle and drive with the sticks between my legs while by myself without having to take the extension off!! Also added new mud flaps to sides and back to control the snow and mud from flinging off tracks and into the cab keeps the machine much cleaner!!"We Got Hogs"
