Tire Wet work good. It also keeps the mud from sticking.
What it lacks in ground clearance it makes up for with traction.

I don't think I'll try cooking oil. Lots of bears around here lol. A friend of mine had a new Ranger boat parked in his driveway over night and a bear tore the cover off and ripped the seats because of the fish smell on the floor and livewell. ( his insurance didn't cover animal damage iether).

I have a small hot water pressure washer. I park the machine on an incline and spray it down once, then use a cleaner like Super purple and let it saturate in. Once done a final wash down with hot water does the trick. Once dry, everything gets greased and lubricated, and I spray the body down with wd40 from the big boy can, wipe down the excess and then the machine is ready for storage.

I jack the back end up and set it on blocks making sure the drain plugs are clear and tires are off the ground, then get the front as high as possible with a floor jack. fire the machine up in gear and let the tires turn. Pump sprayer with super purple... everything inside and out... all chains from every angle.... hose or pressure wash it all off, and then dry with compressed air. shut the machine off and walk away for a few hours. refire it and lube all the chains with them moving. WD-40 makes the body shine, and repels mud and water (although it will attract dust)
