  • Cold Plastic.

It was minus 33 degrees celcius here this morning.
Made me think about how the plastic bodies of our machines hold up against these brutally cold temperatures.
Will the bodies become susceptible to cracking due to the brittleness cause by the low temps?

According to Argo, their machines are rated to +-40 C, so at least Argos should be OK. Minus 33 C is really cold. I have never experienced anything that cold, except in a temperature chamber.

      Thanks for the info.

When I was in grades 11-13 I went to a school in Rosseau Ontario. Winter there was routinely -40 C.
Your hair (fresh from the shower) would freeze solid as soon as you stepped outside on your way to class.
Still prefer that temperature than when it hovers just above or below zero Celsius. At -40 the air is dry so you dont feel so cold.

yup Scimanstev has it right, but watch out for the plastic in the windows of your argo roof.
If you allow branches or bushes to hit the side windows before the machine warms up a bit it can break the plastic Ask me how I know. haha
