hey ' i'm redoing my old adair max 2 tracks to fit some larger tires. i'm connecting the grousers together using 2 , 2'' wide beltings on the underside of the grousers using 1 , 1/4'' carriage bolt thru each belt and grouser . between the grousers i bolted a 4'' wide piece of belting using a bolt at each corner . this has kept the tracks from lateral movement since only one bolt goes thru the belt and grouser. so far they work great. but since the belting is only 3/16'' thick it can still flex laterally on a hard turn and come off the tires. so i'm thinking i still need a connection between the grousers on the sides so they can't come together when the belt tries to flex. maybe some chain on each side would stop that flex ? any ideas ? hope this isn't to hard to visualise . thanks , j.b.

i rechecked and realized chain won't work on the side of the grousers because it is not solid like a piece of flat bar. i'm thinking now the best way is to reuse the original plates that connected the grousers before will solve my dilemma . or i may just cut some new flat bar pieces. any other ideas are appreciated. j.b.
