This is how I recently solved the problem of the antiquated factory controls. It's applicable to any of the AATV's with the 'joy sticks'. Materials used are 4130 Cr & 1030 DOM steel tubing, throttle is a STENS mini-bike unit. Shifter extension is steel rod threaded for the OEM shift rod.

I was thinking of something along those lines for my older max 2 but just in pre-planning stages using a Polaris 500 engine and handlebar controls for lights, starter switch, kill switch and thumb throttle (won't be needing that 4x4 switch but maybe use it to control aux. led lighting) something like what you have done may be the ticket. Nice job fabricating it up looks good and should be more stable feeling on the bumpy trails.

Looks good and should be helpful for all those wishing to do something like this.sigpic
My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
Joe Camel never does that.
Advice is free, it's the application that costs.
