  • Best Bearings

I know this topic has been discuses, I can remember reading it in the past. But if you search "bearings" on this site, EVERY post with the word bearing appears which.. is all of them.

So who makes the best bearings? What are the best style for our use?
I'm replacing my 1654 bearings on my Coot, its a pretty common size. I can get shielded ones for $7. Can I just pop off the inner shield to let the grease in?

All wheel drive - I have removed the dust shields on motor bearings so they can be greased. So I would think it would work for this application also
