  • Clutch making filings

So I bought a 2000 Bigfoot. Yeagh it needs some love. Did the calipers and master cylinders.I’m not real wrenchy but pretty simple stuff. Gonna do some bearings. But my real concern is the clutch seems to be making filings when I run it. No grinding or Noises. CVT spins up & down like it’s supposed too but that shaft on the secondary clutch is making shavings. It came with seized calipers. So I couldn’t drive it. Now that I tried it. I see this. I see a lot actualy. Thoughts??

did you have the clutch off? Most machines run a shim or 2 behind the driven clutch as it is possible for the clutch face to hit the chains. The bushing in the driven also wear but generally don't leave shavings, instead a wobble and a groan are most evident.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
    Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

Could it be just brake dust?
