Making a hard top???

I've been thinking about making a hard top for my 8x8 argo . Has anybody ever made one out of wood frame materal, and them put some kind of a mesh materal between the wood and sprayed it with expanding foam? It could be contoured nicely after it set up and painted to make it look nice on the outside. It should be very light and very warm on the inside. Let me know what you think. Thanks Terry

I made mine from 80/20 alum frame. it worked out well and with the heat from the motor it stays real worm on the coldest day

I took a aluminum canopy apart and used all the parts to build a top. I had 1/4" plywood doors. Nice and cozy inside in the worst weather till I rolled it into the Toutle river by Mt. St. Helens in the winter with 3' of snow,COLD!

My new top is made out of roll bar tubing, 10 pt cage with the aluminum skin off of a canopy.Thinking of soft top jeep style doors. Make sure you protect your noggin
