re-installing chain

when i was driving the 6x6 for the first time last night, it threw 3 chains
i was able to get on back on but i cant get the other 2 on
the problem is that the side that came off was the side with a small sprocket, not the side with a big sprocket
any suggestions?

You need to take the chain apart. to get the chain loose enough to get it back over the sprocket. you may need to use a wire to fish the chain through.

anyone know how much a reasonable quality one is?

you should have a split link on the chain, if its throwin chains, chech your chain, chain adjusters and sprockets for wear and correct adjustment.

My guess is that there is a master link on each chain. A pair of plyers is all you should need.
