Hi folks, I'm curious to hear how many aatv users have been caught trespassing on someone elses property, either intentionally or unknowingly, and what the consequences have been. Did you get ticketed, shot at, chased off the land by a crazed dog, outrun the cops, etc. I have to imagine it happens more than we think, especially with a lack of public riding places in some parts of the country. Thanks for your input, I look forward to reading about all the adventures in lawlessness.

A friend of mine ended up busted for riding on public land, his buddies took off and left him behindThis was on ATVs not AATVs though. I share my offroad grounds with a couple neighbors, they all hunt, fish and ride, and we leave each other alone. (We're ALL armed, so we all respect each other

Trail Manner
Has happened to me quite a few times. Used to ride dirt bikes constantly, and they seem to get peoples dander up alot. I think the noise and people taking off and blasting a rooster tail spoil it. Recently I put in more stick time than bike, and have fewer troubles.
1)My Max is very quiet.
2)I always stop and shut the machine off.
3)I introduce myself and attempt hand shake.
4)Talk it out calmly, offer them a ride, promise to never make a mess or be annoying. Can almost always work it out.
5)I have been stopped in some very regulated area's, and I actually got the "ok" because I had a plastic bag of garbage I picked up from the trail!
6)I also sport a "Made in USA" Flag on the windshield.
