  • Velcro foot straps

I just wondered if anybody else uses these? I used them when I was raceing and still use them today. When I get in my Attex, first thing I do is strap my feet in, with that and a shoulder harness you and the car become one. You have a lot better control of the car when your feet aren't flopping & bounceing around. You can still pull your feet out any time if needed. Any hardware store has it, 2" wide velcro. Try it you'll like it.

Good idea you have there Whipper. I think I'll try that on my racer since I have no floor pan and my feet are only inches away from the front chains and sprockets.

A great idea, but my legs are WAYYY too long... I put my feet up against the front of the machine just below the gas tank/ headlights. What I need are elbow restraints. Whenever I make a hard landing, it's tough to keep the arms from going forward/backward and inadvertently braking/engaging a band. Because of this long leggedness, I find it virtually impossible for my feet to make it as low as the chains and sprockets. I try and try, but they just won't go in that direction. A 40mph snap roll could change everything, though...
