The military did tests with the 8x8 Argo. They drilled holes in the lower body and, even full of water, the 8 tires kept the Argo floating.(barely).

Hey Duke. I have a great memory, it is just real short so I always keep my plugs in except when I am cleaning the hull out. As i said, lots of friendly people on here and some members local to you.
        Cheers Al

An hour from Kingston! What direction? I am on the bay of Quinte. You could look on you tube under" Argo playing in the ice in the bay",you might be surprised. After i take my tracks off in April I would be glad to take you for a "boat" ride.
I just might take you up on that offer. I didn't think most people would know where I am, but you probably do. I'm in hastings county just out of marlbank towards stoco.

And yes, I'm finding this site very friendly and helpful. I'm a little slow on my internet board replys as you can tell. But I'm still poking around, lots of good info to read on here.
