I thought I would start a new thread asking members and guests to post their configuration of a "DREAM MACHINE". The other site had a similar thread that sparked a lot of posts a while back. But could be more specific and broken down into sub-categories like: Racer and Off-Road

Let me start with Off-Road:

30" tires (Frontier style 12" wide)
12" Clearance
Suspension
35 mph
2- Speed T-20 with "Drive-by-wire"
ZTR (zero turn radius)
Joystick
35 hp.
ROP with Camper
Retractable Dual Props
5 mph water speed
Shaft Drive or Poly Chain (no chains)

Well, I'm building my go-fast "Dream Machine" so
Here's my "Go ANYWHERE Trail machine"

OK, Attex Military 8X8 but in yellow or orange.
Yanmar Turbo Diesel 3 cylinder
A more durable Argo Frontier tire
Poly-Chain driveline
Narrowed Springer setup for some suspension without being too wide (for trail machine)
Warn #10,000 winch
Chrome Moly Roll hoop (NOT Cage, Hoop)
Twin jet pumps for greater speed AND controll
T-20, is there any other choice?
Split shifter setup, good ol' steering sticks.
Hella off-road lights
Gun rack and rod holder
Top/windshield for winter, with heater core for heat.
Cooler rack
and most important:
CUP HOLDERS!!

There's always room for the purist, Larry!

Every time I start work on a new project, my idea of the "Dream Machine" changes. There were a lot of great ideas put to use by a lot of different people and incorporated in so many different vintage (and not so vintage) machines that you'd have a real hard time putting them together in a single amphib. It'd be fun to try, though!

2 stroke, 100 hp, 50" wide, no suspension,(you need to feel the speed) suspension seat (my back is too old) 10" ground clearance, t-20, heim joints everywhere, full gauges, good lights, 6 wheel drive, 25" tires, smooth bottom, v bow, low nose, leg room, full cage. But most of all good friends with good food and the time to bull****.
