  • Video shot from oputside my MaxIV-mud, rocks, trees and swamp

This is an old video that I was finally able to process. These videos were shot right after I dumped my 26" Goodyears and went to the 27" Swamp fox plus tires. If Anyone wants to question the toughness of these tires they only have to look at the trees and sumps I run over every time I go out. They are one tough mud eating tire that swims reasonably well and rides much better than the Goodyears. If I had any concern about tire toughness I wouldn't be able to take my Max out down here. I have bent three steel rims spinning off very, very sharp Cypress ears without ever puncturing a tire. With the Goodyears I would get stuck 5 or 6 times a day. With Swamp Foxes I rarely get stuck and if I do it's because I was doing something totally insane! Hope you enjoy! Please notice that my 500 Suzuki Vincent with a mild cam, HMS exhaust, and 27 inch ITP Radials on 14" rims doesn't come off my truck in this area.

Dan,,I was wondering,,how deep is most of the water where you ride in the swamps? Thats some prime amphib riding where you live Dan, no doubt about that Its such a shame that you don,t have some other amphib riders close by, to enjoy all this great amphib riding with you

Dan , once again,,that was some great action of your mighty Max IV in the swamps. Man,I love that kind terrain! This is what a Max was made for! Can,t wait until the spring time, when I,ll finally have the money to put the 27" High lifter " out laws" on my Max IV. With those tires on my Max,,it will be one bad to the bone looking, mud eating machine!

Those inch and quarter inch scoops, that alternater on either side of the Out law tires, ought to really dig the mud and scoop the water. The Hydro Trax rep told he had them clocked at 2 mph in the water with a gps

Hopefully some one can post a pic of these Out laws here for all to see

Mudbug, I am looking forward to hearing how the outlaws work out for you. I really want to know how they swim in the swamp. There are only a few areas in this film where the water is so deep that my wheels are not touching the bottom and skimming mud. Some time in the next two weeks I am going out with my sons and film the Max crossing a lake so everyone can get a look at my water speed. To me it is pretty good. The way I see it is-pass me in the water now and I'll pull you out of the mud later, or help you fix a flat some where on the trail. I like the compromise!
