I'm looking for a way to easily remove some of the old decals from my Hustler. Does anyone have a favored technique or product they've used to remove stubborn old decals?

WD-40 does a great job.
Edit: I guess I could elaborate. Just spray it directly on top of the decal and let it soak. Keep a rag handy to catch any run-off. If you can, score the decal in several places to allow the WD-40 to get behind the decal. Once it has soaked for a few minutes start working a corner or edge and once you get it pulled up a little, spray a little more WD-40 behind the decal. Repeat until it is off. After the decal is off the WD-40 will remove the left over glue as well. Just spray it on a rag and wipe the glue until it is gone.Last edited by Mike; 03-19-2009, 02:50 PM.

I've never used Goo-gone, but it looks like I'll have to try it. I've used the 3M adhesive remover and it works pretty well, but it's very expensive.Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.
