It works great. Won't break, but scratches pretty easy. It can be polished with regular car wax and it hides the scratches.

really bad scratches can be fixed with a mini torch. aim the flame nearly peripndicular to the lexan and keep it moving. it will melt the scratch back flat. just practice on a scrap peice till you get the hang of it

i plan on making a half back side out of lexan and the top half removable "clear tarp" i want to be able to take the top half off... hard to explain so i will post some pics tomorrow... how bad is it then to be driving and have some branches hit the lexan?? when you say it scratches how easy does it?? give me a example if you can.

            ttt

i think one of the big reasons i want to cover on the argo is that it will keep all the crap out my chain area.. after all anything that comes into the argo will end up in the chains.. and i want to stay away from that

I'm currently working on making a snap-on/off soft-top, that will snap onto the top (under edge) of the new windshield frame that I made...

I added the windshield support arms for two reasons...
                        A. Tree limbs are caught on the angled support arms, and lifted up and over the frame, keeping the bulk of it away from the windshield glass, which I also made from Lexan.
                        B. Helps keep the frame at proper angle, upon any hard impact, ie...like with a large tree limb hitting at the top corner.

The frame itself is really sturdy. Bolts on with 4 hardpoints. Then add in the two support hardpoints, and it's rock solid.
