  • cleaning inside of tires after popping a bead

Before I got the Beadlock rims from Matt O. and mounted the Mudbugs on them, I had some problems keeping the redasses...er...Rawhides on my rims on the rear tires. About 20 mins. into the second session of trying to clean all the leaves, mud, and water out of the tire I thought "there has to be a better way". So after ignoring the obvious during the first (and 20 mins of the second session) I quit ignoring the obvious and broke out the magical and amazing shop vac [it makes things disappear, so it must be magic] and started to vacum all the mess out of the tire. Then I stuck the garden hose in, turned it on and presto all the mess is gone, all nice & clean. Try it the next time you need to clean a tire.

I haven't had to use this since I went to Matt O's beadlock rims, and I run only 1 PSI in the Mudbugs.

Just in case... This method doesn't require completely removing the tire from the rim. Does anyone have an easier way?
