  • water walking

I ran into a old tyme guy that said "Oh ya, Argos we use to put fins on old hub caps and bang them on the rims of the Argo and it would walk across the water. Anyone tried or heard of doing this?

Haven't heard of that but it sounds interesting. It might make it faster in the water but not walk on water. See if you can get a description of them we can make some up and see if they work. Fins on the outside of the tires would really bang on everything how long would they work? High hp and tracks would make it walk on water like a snowmobile does.

      rednecks?

Sounds like a DIY Jweelz to me. I wonder what kind of "fins" he's talking about.

Anything that would make a 6x6 faster in the water would be apprecited that by all 6x6 riders that like to swim.

Ya, I think he was talking about the old 8" domed hub caps they use to have on the center portion of the truck rims in the 60's. They would cut them in the center and weld a four or five inch cross of metal protruding from the cap.
Before you go in the water you bang them on the rims. I don't know about the water walking part but in theory it sounds like it might work. Put a couple of sets on and it should go pretty good. Knock em off and throw in the back for the trail.
