  • Pulled out 2 rhinos with my argo

We went for a ride in Talladega Alabama today,We came across one rhino pulling out another rhino that was stuck in a big watery mud hole. The bed of the stuck rhino was under water,After waiting a few minutes for them to clear the trail i went through the same hole with no problem. You should have seen the look on there faces. We stopped and took a break,After a few minutes you could hear them up the trail at the next mud hole stuck again. So i went up the trail to where they where at and both of them where stuck. This is my first time trying to pull some one out,I hooked to the first one and put it in low gear and had to snatch him out. Then i went to the second one and pulled him out with no problem. After pulling them out i went back through the same place they where stuck in.This is a 98 argo vangaurd with a 16 briggs,She was very impressive today

You did well, sounds like you may have made an impression
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

            coosaridgerider,

I just love amphib stories like this. I bet both of them had a shocked look on their face right after they watched you drive your Argo through the very same mud hole that you pulled them out of .

Later on in the day saturday alot of people where gathered around the mud bogging pit including the rhinos. In this pit is a couple of holes that no one dares to go in.So off i go into the worst one that is about 3feet of mud and maybe 4 inches of water,Usually it is full of water but very dry lately.I made it all the way to the other end and bottomed out,I rocked it back and forth and backed it out after a little manuvering and a couple of attempt. So of to the second hole,The same thing happened. This is 2 mud holes that no one will attempt to go through,Not even the big 4 wheel drive trucks.I didn't make it completely through but no one had to pull me out.I did Break a bead on one tire,But i was giving it hell. This is a great machine,But i will always have my polaris sportsmans,Some of the hill riding we do is very rocky and not too friendly to the tub of the 6 wheelers.Every machine has it's goods and bads,I'm not knocking any other atv and not bias of getting pulled or pulling any other machine out.If i get pulled out by a quad that is not a problem,We are all out here having fun and helping each other.

Excellent statement coosaridgerider! That should be deemed the 6x6r's (or any off-roader's) creed. Goes to show that were all out just to have fun and help one another. Koo-dos!
It's all just nuts and bolts.
