  • Maybe a new section on body mods?

Hey guys..Sorry if this sounds like dumb idea but... Question .... could you start a new section in the tech. area for body mods (rollbars, body mods or repairs, skidplating)? I wanted to skid plate the bottom of my '71 Argo and was looking to see what others have done or just get input.

That's a good idea but for now, just post in the appropriate section (Max, Argo, Attex, Other) for a specific mod. General mods can go in general 6x6.

If we get enough of them I would be happy to open a new forum but for now just post in one of those. I want to keep everything as organized as possible so if I see that we are getting a lot of x kind of posts I will open a new forum. At the same time I don't want a bunch of forums with nothing in them. It's already difficult to determine where to post certain things and the more forums we have the more that will happen so it's a trade off.

I do appreciate the suggestions though!

Also, for the skid plate, did you see Mike's (hydromike) skid plate build up on his Attex. He had some great pictures and some step-by-step instructions.

sorry I was not sure how you were handling them. no I did not see Hydromikes skid plate set up but I will look for it though. Adding the skid plate, does that effect the value of the machine? Thanks again.

No need to apologize. There isn't something that tells everyone where to post. It can get confusing sometimes as some topics could go in more than one forum.

I meant to post a link to his skid plate so you didn't have to search...Here's mike's thread on his Attex ATV Skid Plate

Edit: As for the value of the machine, I guess it really depends on who you are selling to and what kind of job you did. If you put the time in it that Mike did, then I don't see it negatively effecting the value unless you are selling it to a collector who has to have the machine bone stock. I believe the only thing that Mike did to modify the tub was to drill holes where the rivets would go. Check the thread to be sure though.
