  • quick question?

    if you make your 6x6 into a springer with the independent suspension for each wheel does it still float?

      Yes if you use Whippers kit. Swimming is not as good because they hang low in the water.

        Wish I knew how to link you straight to the right pages in the Attex or Max Springer threads, because we've got videos of both of them in the water. Like Jerseybigfoot said, the tires hang lower in the water so there isn't as much paddle action, consequently they are very slow in the water. The main thing we were hoping for was that they didn't leak. About a cup or 2 in the bottom of the tub, after driving around in the lake for maybe 30 min. or so made us feel pretty good. That's all we were hoping for.

          i wondered about that too..... seems it might be a tad heavy......

            Here's Bridget's Max II Springer on its maiden voyage.



            I had my springer swimming at Busco last year. I think the 24" Argo tires would make them swim a little better since they'd offer a little more buoyancy. I swam (slowly) with Carlisle chevrons and they were barely 22".
