ABS repair question

Quick question. Can a piece of ABS be soaked in acetone till its soft and then
the area around the hole e wetted with acetone and the softened piece be pressed over to make the repair? Specificly where the chaines rubbed holes in the floor.

I have found a great ABS adhesive. It will not turn loose. It can even be used as a bondo type of filler. Here are a few pics of the repairs i have managed to do with it. The adhesive container is in the first picture. You can use this to glue down some new ABS in the tub floor. When you do this remove the weight off of the machine. Install a sheet of plywood under the bottom and support the edges of the machine to obtain zero pressure on the bottom of the tub. I will be doing this to my machine in the very near future for the same reason, but i have used it in many applications in the past as you can see. Do some testing on small pieces prior to tackling a big job to become more familiar as to how the product works.
