Hi guys. I'm looking at getting an argo or max 4. I could use some help on deciding. Which one is more durable and less maintenance? How much maintenance do these require and how often? I am looking 4 a machine 4 me and my family to trail ride and often would be going through rough terrain and swampy areas with many rocks with no option but to go over them. Would also like 2 get about 30 miles an hr 2 keep up with a friend. is this possible? As of now i am leaning toward the max 4. Are there any dealers in Maine? I would appreciate any input you guys have 4 me. Thanks guys!

If you are buying new then either one would be fine. Asking which one is better or more durable is like asking whether a Chevrolet or a Ford is more durable; answers will vary based on personal preference. Before you buy anything or make a decision on which one you want though, do yourself a favor and go drive or at least ride in both machines. Post in the local members forum here on the site and see if anyone is close by that would be willing to let you come take a test drive. Or you can find dealers on the manufacturers websites and go drive a new one:

As far as speed you will not see 30mph with a stock machine. It will probably be somewhere in the low to mid 20's.
Maintenance will be about the same on both machines. They will both require you to perform regular preventative maintenance.
Look around the site some more and you will get a feel for both brands and what problems they have. Either way you will end up with a good car.
