I buy my chain here. No discount for buying the 50 ft. role but there is less waste when you do so.

Motion Industries sells in Diamond and US Tsubaki in 10, 50, and 100 foot rolls. I've had good luck with both brands. Last I knew, it was about $5 a foot.Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.

I am with Don, Motion industries has good Diamond chain. Just recently bought 50 foot at a price of 247.50. That is #50 single chain.Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

well when you think about replacing your chain every 1 or 2 years with cheep ]
chain compared with 5 to 8 years with high quality chain then its not so bad
a price ..usually expect from 9 to 11 a foot for the best..and most of the time
prices can be negotiated..ive tried diamond and its definitly not as good as
the brand 530 o-ring that r.i sells , when you do your reasearch on the
chain you want to buy look for the 10600 pound chain and you will definitly
be pleased with the results if you buy

I'd have to agree that MC is another great place to get chain, as is Grainger.
I know people that go the extra mile and buy hoist chain. After the initial stretch, it's pretty much done stretching for good, and lasts a long, long time. It's easier on the sprockets and makes them last longer as well because the chain stays close to original size and the lobe isn't sliding as much down the teeth of the sprocket. I've just always been too cheap to put out the extra bucks for the hoist chain.Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.

Here's a good place to look for anything like chain, sprockets, pulleys, hydraulics, etc; I've done business with them and they always were helpful & responsive. WWW.surpluscenter.com.
